Indemnity (2022)

Theo Abrams is a former Cape Town firefighter who suffers from severe Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, unable to return to work due to psychological trauma suffered during a failed rescue mission. Theo's increasingly frustrated and volatile world is rocked when one morning, he wakes up beside the corpse of his murdered wife without remembering what happened and all the evidence suggesting that he killed her. When the police label him the prime suspect, Theo flees, and is soon hunted by the Deputy Chief of Police, Alan Shard, a notorious law enforcement officer, who is desperate to arrest Theo as one last act of service before he officially retires. However, when an unknown third party is thrown into the mix, Theo discovers a worrying connection between the evil forces hunting him in an attempt to silence him permanently for reasons he cannot understand; and his wife's recent investigation into a global arms contractor.
